Building
Built at the end of 1200, the Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo, commonly called Palazzo del Popolo, was the seat of the first city assembly of the people's representatives and seat of the city authorities during the government of the free Municipality.
The building, on two floors, is characterized by large round arches on the ground floor and a series of elegant three-light windows on the upper floor. The structure is completed by a large external staircase and the bell tower, which was added later on.
Since 1991, after the restoration works, it has housed a modern conference center and multifunctional space for meetings and events and the interior spaces were illuminated by Studio Due about 20 years ago.
Project
The relamping of the entrance arches and three-lancet windows on the upper floor was carried out using compact and efficient Studio Due LED luminaires, equipped with a custom corten-coloured sheet metal cover for a complete integration of the luminaires into the tuff facade, a tipycal local material.
